Carpenter - Full Time
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various carpentry tasks, including cabinet installation, siding, and remodeling. This position requires a strong attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining safety measures.
Duties
1. Installs foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials.
2. Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim using a carpenter’s level, plumb bob, and laser levels.
3. Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels.
4. Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
5. Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
6. Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools.
7. Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
8. Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.
9. Inspect ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures.
10. Cleans up worksite debris.
Requirements
MUST be reliable and punctual to work!
1. Proven experience in carpentry with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
2. Proficiency in cabinet installation, siding, remodeling, and restoration work.
3. Familiarity with CNC machinery is a plus but not mandatory.
4. Knowledge of masonry techniques is an advantage.
5. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
8. Must always adhere to safety standards on construction sites.
